We have used the night train from Paris to Italy and back many times before, when it was run by Artesia which was pretty good so I knew what to expect, well at least I thought I did, It was never luxurious but it was clean, facilities worked, a member of staff was available in every sleeper coach who were helpful and polite the food was good and service friendly. It is now run by Thello which was supposed to improve the service,but it really is terrible the train coaches are still the same as artesia but are now poorly maintained nothing works electrical sockets broken no running water in the sleepers air conditioning not working, bits of the bed falling off, its filthy, toilets not working terrible smell, no staff to be found anywhere when you do eventually find someone they are completely disinterested.
