Sometimes companies get carried away with their software and try to pack too much into them and end up just making the control software complicated to use. NZXT has done the opposite with Kraken Control. As you will see in the next few paragraphs, the Kraken Control software has a ton of features in it, yet it still manages to have a very smooth interface and is nice and easy to use.

If you just want to see the temperatures of your cooler and the vital stats you can easily find them, but if you want more detailed information or to tweak your settings you can also easily do that with only a couple clicks of your mouse.

Hi Guys, I recently got a Kraken x40. I'm happy with the performance of the cooler, but the control software seems buggy. For starters, it doesn't detect my Haswell temps (although I have used the workaround recommended by NZXT for this). Secondly, it seems to use much too much CPU for a fan control program - sometimes around 4%.

Thirdly, it sometimes seems to get stuck in a loop allocating memory, and I end up with it hammering a CPU core and slowly leaking memory. Has anyone else encountered any similar problems and/or fixes for them?

Are there any third party fan control programs which work with the x40 to use until NZXT can sort out theirs?
