How To Install Pu Scope On Mosin Nagant
I just received an M91/30 PU sniper rifle. It is a 1943 Izhevsk with an undated PU scope.
My first evaluation is that it is a non-sniper rifle, replica mount, and WWII scope. Photos will follow for comments first chance I get. The scope mount base is mounted to the rifle with the two large screws.

The other alternative is to use a scout scope on the Mosin. A scout scope is mounted over. For the Mosin Nagant is the PU Scope. Receiver to install the scope. Recently I received a call from a customer asking if I could mount a scope to a Mosin Nagant. He said he had the scope, the mount, drill bits, everything.
The two lock screws are missing and the two pins are missing. The seller found and is mailing me the two lock screws and I asked him to include the pins if he could find them. It was an estate sale so the seller does not know much. My first question is how do I get the locking screws to work?
It looks like I need to mark the large screws, then remove and grind them so the lock screws will fit into the heads of the large screws. Is that correct?
My second question is how do the pins stay in place? And how exactly are they installed? The pin holes are drilled in the receiver and they line up very closely with the pin holes in the base.
Any instructions would be greatly appreciated. Netviewer Kguard Download Pdf. The tabs on the scope mount have been filed down and the mount appears to be new, so hopefully the previous owner knew what he was doing and sighted the scope in correctly. It does seem to be firmly mounted without the lock screws and pins.
I'm hoping I can get pins from Accumounts if the seller can not find them. Last edited by geladen; at 03:39 AM.

Throughout history it has been used by those who could not prevail, either by persuasion or example. But inevitably they fail, either because men are not afraid to die for a life worth living, or because the terrorists themselves came to realize that free men cannot be frightened by threats, and that aggression would meet its own response.
And it is in the light of that history that every nation today should know, be he friend or foe, that the United States has both the will and the weapons to join free men in standing up to their responsibilities.' Yes you will have to step cut the lock screw locations in the other screws. The pins are help by friction. Muse Absolution 320 Zip. They wil need to be tapped in forcefully. If your holes dont line up you'll ned to correct that. Thanks, Vic. Do you use blue Loctite? Except for no blue Loctite on the upper vertical rough adjust screw?
After the pins are installed in the base, and assuming the pins go in the receiver holes OK - if the mounting screws don't quite want to thread in, would the the best way to fix that that be to slightly enlarge the holes in the base for the mounting screws? That may not be a problem since the pin holes in the receiver are very, very closely aligned with the pin holes in the base with the mounting screws tightly installed. I think I can see what needs to be done and it looks to be a simple enough project to finish the incomplete scope mounting, but I have learned it pays to check with someone who knows before grinding or drilling.
